Until the dawn of the 20th century, the only view prevailing
in the world of science was that "the universe has a constant nature and
it has existed since infinite time". The research, observations, and calculations carried out by means of
modern technology, however, have revealed that the universe in fact had a
beginning, and that it constantly "expands"
·
The Quran predicted this 1400 years ago but Albert Einstein,
initially, believed the universe was static and not expanding. He introduced
the cosmological constant to his equations to counteract gravitational collapse.
However, after Edwin Hubble's observations in 1929 showed that galaxies were
moving away from each other, Einstein eventually accepted the idea of an
expanding universe. By 1931, he had adopted the expanding universe model and
even collaborated on a model of an eternally expanding universe with Willem de
Sitter. See Einstein’s Biggest Mistake (YouTube Short

of the universe (Quran, 51:47): "And it is We who have constructed the heavens with might, and
verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it"
